Tuesday, September 19, 2017 - 2:00pm to 3:00pm
Objetivo:
This webinar will provide an in-depth perspective of training and educational approaches for Clinical Research Coordinators (CRC) which advance their future professional growth and leadership potential in research administration and management. Clinical research studies are conducted by a qualified team of research professionals overseen by a principal investigator (PI) although the majority of responsibilities are delegated to the CRC who play a significant role in managing the study from start to finish. In response to the changing landscape of clinical research and increasingly complex trials, the role of the CRC has advanced to include more specialized functions. Given these trends, the core competencies of the profession have advanced such that the spectrum of research activities managed by CRCs has necessitated a broad range of technical, managerial, ethical and regulatory expertise. The significance of innovative training is critical to providing CRCs the skills and knowledge to responsibly conduct clinical research. Training for CRCs must continue to develop in response to supporting professional growth, workforce and career development and their future as research administrators.
Learning Objectives:
Discuss the evolution of the CRC role, core competencies and training.
Learn to develop content/topics for developing effective training in the current state of research administration.
Recognize the importance of creating your own individualized career development plan.
Identify strategies for professional development and career advancement to promote workforce development and succession planning.
